Official Terms of Use/Guidelines/Conditions
At the community of the Ages Team, we want to put smiles at faces, and everyone deserves them. We believe the best experiences happen when we all work together to keep our software, online services, and the community, friendly, welcoming, and fun for all.
Please take a few minutes to read our Terms of Use/Guidelines/Conditions, as they outline our expectations.
A) Treat others as you would like to be treated
Do not be mean, short-tempered, or get easily overreactive. Be nice and respectful to others and the team members. We don't want to create any dramas or start unnecessary arguments. Don’t be offensive, misrepresent, harass, threaten, make false announcements, discriminate against, abuse, disrupt, or act in any matter that could ruin the reputation of ours and anyone.
B) SB3 open-source projects
If you are viewing our open-source projects, we expect you to respect our work. You may NOT use or redistribute any of our assets without our permission. We put our valuable time to pull off our best effort into our projects and software. Remember that taking someone else's work and call it as yours is considered as theft.
C) eSite system
The eSite system is used to generate and store ePoints. Some of you may be able to find our source code. Do NOT misuse our generator and system in a way to get infinite/unlimited ePoints. We check codes manually each time you submit. Spam submitting or messages demanding ePoints will not be tolerated.
D) Software revenue
Most of our games are fan-made as they are intended to make as an expression of ourselves and bring imaginations come to life. Do NOT sell any of our games as it is illegal to sell fangames and the copyright law strictly prohibits it. If you are willing to sell your games, it MUST be 100% original and NOT a fangame (Including, but not limited to characters, audio, plot, engine, and artwork).
E) Personal Information
Your personal information is yours to keep alone. This includes your Agesite account. Do not give it away to anybody you don't know online. Keeping personal information private means keeping your identity safe. To know more about how we use your information and your privacy rights, visit our Privacy Policy.
F) Criticism & Feedback
We welcome feedback that makes our games and others better. Do not abuse the matter of giving criticism that may look harmful or disruptive the game author or the community. Be sure to give criticism thoughtfully, since the engine we use to make games has its own flaws that we've already taken advantage of. We cannot guarantee that we fix or improve everything as criticized, and if you didn't find it well or as good as you thought it can be and it can't be fixed/improved, then the only choice is to at last enjoy it as it was intentionally meant to be. Again, remember to be kind and respectful.
G) Software ideas, and your thoughts and opinions
Please be mindful and respectful to our ideas and effort we've put into our software. We came up with some weird ideas that nobody has ever thought of. Do not make it worse than you thought it is as that can result in disrupting the community. These ideas were made to expand the fun and entertainment that we all enjoy.
H) Speak up!
If you encounter anything that violates our Terms of Use, please let us know! We have Discord, Scratch, GameJolt, itch.io, and even a built-in reporting feature here on this website you can use them to contact the Ages Team if you see any disruptive inappropriate behavior that is disturbing or inappropriate.
Anyone who violates any of our Terms of Use and rules will be suspended or banned from our services. The easiest way to avoid this kind of risk is for everyone to be nice, sweet, respectful, thoughtful, and following our ground rules and any other additional expectations specific to any Ages Team's software, services, and events.
Again, please have fun! We can all enjoy the community here and have the best time when we respectfully understand the circumstances, establishments, and purposes. Let’s work together to ensure our communities remain a fantastic place for all to feel welcome!
