Sonic 2 Expanded v0.9 is an unofficial release for the S2E series. Development of this was a little influenced by the object placement experiments made at the cancelled Kevin & Friends - Video Game 3.

This game certainly isn't our best one or the one we've put all of our effort, but it still aims to put smiles on a few people and resolve some issues left from the original S2E games. This game was also well-optimized and the project size is shorter than the original S2E games, allowing mobile users to open the game without having the page to be crashed.

The game follows Sonic and Tails, where they arrive to Westside Island to stop Dr. Robotnik from conquering the island and use animals as robots.

This game is in a finished state; all 3 acts for Emerald Hill Zone are available. You can also pick Sonic or Tails as players.

Even if this game isn't really the best one we made, it's still a nice fan revival from the original S2E series. Even the original S2E developers were impressed with what we have made.
